Gina Rinehart, the58 year old Australian business women is now the world’s richest woman as reported by BRW Magazine. The Australian miner has an estimated worth of about $29 billion.
She inherited $75 million when her father died in 1992; she has last two decades managed to increase her wealth by over 386 times to $29 billion. And earns over $50 million per day.
“If the demand for natural resources remains strong, additional multi-billion mines is almost inevitable,” writes BRW. “There is a real possibility that Rinehart will become not just the richest woman in the world, but the richest person in the world.”
Thanks to high demand and valuation Mrs Rinehart’s wealth has grown by an record $19 billion this year alone.
