This year Jimmy Choo completes its 15 years of inception. In an exclusive interview with Lisa Armstrong (Fashion Editor, The Times) Jimmy Choo founder Tamara Mellon talks about her journey with brand so far, her vision, future, work, personal life and her plans on working for women related issues.
In interview Tamara gets nostalgic about her early days with single Jimmy Choo store on Motcomb Street and also shares her vision to be world’s top luxury lifestyle brand and make Jimmy Choo a global brand. “I didn’t want a couple of shops in London; I wanted to be a global brand” said Tamara Mellon in the interview.
Jimmy Choo has grown from one store to over 120 stores in last 15 years and now has presence over 32 countries. Since 1996 brand has grown many folds and now this lifestyle brand boosts of range of products including women’s shoes, handbags, leather goods, scarves, belts, sunglasses, eyewear, perfumes and now men shoe’s.
This year brand is celebrating its 15th birthday with debut and launches – It has debuted in men shoe for autumn / winter 2011 collection, the luggage and luxury day bags and first ever women fragrance perfume .
