The new bottles are ultra-thick with light blue glass base and side walls which allows the whisky to shine through the bottle. The limited edition bottles have the John Walker & Sons monogram and the Royal Warrant are imprinted directly onto the glass in a rich gold.

The taste:

“Both limited edition and the newly designed Blue Label will, of course, hold the same mellow, rounded nose that the drink is famous for. With its signature dry smokiness mixed with raisin sweetness, a sip of the Blue Label will reveal a velvety mouth-feel, then an explosion of hazelnuts, honey, rose petals, sherry and oranges. Subsequent sips yield hidden notes of kumquat, wispy aromatic smoke, sandalwood, tobacco, and dark chocolate.”
