Elizabeth Taylor’s Jewelry Collection estimated to sell at £20 Million

The yesteryear beautiful actress Elizabeth Taylor jewelry collection will go under hammer at a 2 day auction to be held in December 13 and 14. The two day sale will be managed by auction house Christie’s and is expected to raise a minimum of £20 million.

At sale you can see total of 269 diamonds, pearls, rubies, rings, necklaces and some fascinating jewelry available for sale. Most of these jewels and rare collection comes from her lengthy and complicated relationship with Richard Burton, whom she married and divorced twice.

The collection has some incredible diamond pieces and some historic jewels and pieces that were made famous because of their association with Elizabeth Taylor.

The highlight of the collection is the 33.19 carat diamond ring that Richard Burton had bought for her in an auction in 1968 for $300,000.

They now call it the Elizabeth Taylor Diamond and its pre sales estimate is between £1.57million and £2.19million.

Reportedly, a portion of the proceeds from exhibitions, events and publications related to the auction will be donated to The Elizabeth Taylor Aids Foundation, which was founded in 1991.
