Dr. Rajendra Prasad Rolex to be auctioned by Sotheby’s

The auction house Sotheby’s will be auctioning one of the Rolex watch belonging to the first president of independent India Dr. Rajendra Prasad along with other Rolex watches on 13^th Nov in Geneva. The lot of total 270 Rolex watches which go under hammer are estimated to collect over $8.9 million.

The rare Rolex belonging Dr. Rajendra Prasad is made in 18K pink gold Oyster with map of India on its dial. Also displayed on the watch is historical date – 26 January 1950, which signifies the inauguration of the Republic of India.

This historic Rolex is expected to fetch $222,000 to $444,000 when goes under hammer.
