Chanel No 5 was launched by French designer Coco Chanel in 1922. Over the years many other renowned celebrities have been face of Chanel No. 5 including Marilyn Monroe Catherine Deneuve, Nicole Kidman and Estella Warren.
And we don’t really think Brad Pitt would have any issue obliging the brand. On one hand the opportunity was great and on other the huge pay check. Yes, reportedly 46 year actor has been paid a handsome $7 million.
Chanel has unveiled a series of mini teaser videos of about 7 sec each. The complete campaign has been Director by Joe Wright which will be unveiled on October 15. The mini videos show the side profile of actor with No. 5 writing and on other half of the frame it is asks various questions to intrigue and involve the viewers.
Andrea d’Avack, a spokesman for Chanel, said “To keep a legend fresh, you always have to change its point of view. It is the first time we’ve had a man speaking about a women’s fragrance. We think very much that the perfume is a seduction between a man, a woman and the perfume. No.5 is our leading fragrance, and we are willing to make the investment to keep it on that level.”
