Bond inspired Project X British Military Stealth Rolexes

London-based Rolex customizer Project X has been doing some amazing work with the customization of Luxury watch. This time they are up with three new military-inspired “stealth” designs based on the classic Rolex Submariner (Stealth Mk III and Mk IV) and Rolex Explorer (Mk V).

Paying tribute to both Britain’s Special Boat Service and military models worn by Sean Connery in the James Bond film where he played former SBS commanando. The SBS, was founded in 1940 for secret operations, is the precursor to the more famous SAS. The limited edition collection will see only 28 pieces per design.

The Stealth Mk III and Mk IV are based on the Submariner. The Mk III, designed for day maneuvers, features an anti-reflective satin case finish, blacked-out bezel and Stealth inscribed dial. The Mk IV (above), for night operations, has a matte black carbon-coated case and blacked-out ceramic bezel. This time piece costs $14,000 – $16,000.

The third model, Mk V is based on the Explorer and features a DLC coating. Issued on a back G10 NATO strap with black hardware, it also comes with a blacked-out steel bracelet and is priced at about $13,000. Prices run about $13,000 – $16,000; 

The Limited Edition customizations of original Rolex watches created by Project X Designs are affordable as compared to original piece.
