German Luxury car maker, Audi will launch VR7 certified armored version of their A8L luxury sedan in India. The Audi A8L security will be priced at approximately Rs. 6 crores. It will come with bullet proof widows and windshield.
The armored vehicle will be featured by a W12 6.3-liter W12 engine with 500bhp of power and 625Nm of torque. Audi A8L Security can reach 100 kmph in 7.3-seconds and has a top speed of 210kmph.
The body of Audi A8L’s is made of multiple layers of aluminium alloy, which makes the frame tough. Also, the bullet-proof windows weigh 75kg each and the windshields 180kg.
Engine specs are the same as those of the regular A8L. Audi launched the non-armoured A8L sedan in January this year. It has three engine versions: a V8 petrol engine, a V6 diesel engine and a W12 engine.
