The luxury car maker Mercedes will be unveiling new 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG V12 Roadster at this year’s New York Auto Show. The AMG 6.0-liter V12 biturbo engine generates an output of 621 hp. The all-aluminum body-in-white and carbon body makes it lighter by over 254 pounds as compared to its predecessors, the SL550 roadster and the SL63 AMG roadster.
All powered new SL65 AMG accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds touching a top speed of 186 mph. The key attributes of the AMG biturbo twelve-cylinder includes the excellent acceleration, and seamless power delivery combined with a distinctive AMG V12 soundtrack.
Inside SL 65 AMG has electrically adjustable AMG sports seats with one or two-color upholstery in exclusive leather featuring AMG-specific V12 diamond stitching. Also AMG logo embossed along on back seats with the AIRSCARF neck-level heating, the multi-contour function, seat memory and seat ventilation. The headliner in leather sports an AMG V12 diamond stitching for better ergonomics.
Exquisite materials and high quality of workmanship has been used in the interior of the SL65 AMG and you have an option of selecting interior with Black Exclusive Leather, Beige/Brown Exclusive Leather, Red/Black Exclusive Leather, and Porcelain/Black Exclusive Leather.
Keeping with the high standard of safety and in zest of creating lighter vehicle, engineers have used even lighter magnesium for part of the cover behind the fuel tank. High-strength steel tubes are integrated into the A-pillars for reasons of safety. The plastic exterior shell is then fastened to the extremely stiff carbon component with adhesive. The result is a weight saving of eleven pounds compared with a conventional rear lid.
